"I've never written a review in my life but I felt compelled to do so about Kelleys Island House Restaurant...
While wandering from place to place on the island I kept hearing people talking about the Island House and what "amazing" meals they had. The Lobster Rolls are the talk of the Island. My friend said after tasting the Wild Boar Chops she asked to see the chef to compliment him personally. Last Thursday friends and I sat at the beautiful outside Martini Bar with its lovely blue/green glass mosaic bar as a storm blew onto the island. We didn't feel a drop as we sat there watching and munching on the crispy flavored BACON strips (cinnamon sugar and tangy Tai spice) which beats the usual bar peanuts any day. I ordered the Island House burger as I was told it was "the best on the island". WRONG! These twin patties made with 3 different types of beef and a slice of Muenster Cheese between is the BEST BURGER IN OHIO!"

About Kelley's Island
Kelleys Island is the largest US island in the western basin of Lake Erie, the Walleye Fishing capital of the world. With a landmass of twenty-eight hundred acres and an eighteen-mile shoreline, the island has a lot to offer. There are a variety of seasonal activities and events, places to explore, and a rich cultural and natural history to discover -- something for everyone!
Kelleys Island is three and one half miles north of Marblehead Peninsula. Most arrive by the Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line located on State Route 163 in Marblehead, Ohio. You can bring your car or bicycle on the ferry or, once you arrive on the island, rent a golf cart or bicycle. However, the island is also accessible by airplane and private boat. Griffing Flying Service provides daily service from Sandusky, Ohio. Island marinas accommodate visiting boaters.
Finally, most visitors access the island by ferry. However, others arrive by boats or airplanes. Boaters will find moderately priced full service dockage available by the hour, day, or overnight.
